Combat Updates for “Yugo Wars”

Through the work of new admin Onions and model creator Stongduke, the next iteration of /int/craft, set in the 1990s Yugoslav Wars, is soon to include the most functionally advanced guns and vehicles of any iteration in the server’s four-year history.

Weapons

Most of the new guns

For weapons, the server will be using the CrackshotPlus plugin rather than the usual Crackshot. The more advanced plugin allows for customizable recoil patterns instead of set spread, functional (visible) projectiles, scope overlays, exploit fixes, and a huge myriad of cosmetic upgrades, including sound design.

Vehicles

The server will also include a brand new, currently-unnamed, and currently-unfinished vehicles plugin. This plugin will be much better than the one used in iteration 27 “2030”. Among other features, expect to see full CrackshotPlus integration for vehicle weapons, independently-movable guns and tank turrets, fully functional helicopters and planes, limited ammo and gas, and reduced server load compared to competing plugins. No vehicle models have yet been made.

Currently confirmed vehicles are:

  • Ground:
    • Yugo, unarmed civilian car
    • M-84 (T-72) MBT, armed with:
      • 125mm tank cannon
      • Coaxial 762mm machine gun
    • 155mm M84 “NORA” howitzer, armed with a long-range 155mm HE cannon
    • 30mm M55 triple-barreled anti air gun, armed with triple 30mm anti air cannons
  • Air:
    • J-22 Orao ground-attack jet, armed with:
      • 2x GSh-23L 23mm autocannons
      • 5 hardpoint slots for any combination of:
        • 500kg (1000 pound) dumb bomb
        • Kh-23 Grom (AS-7 “Kerry”) air-to-ground missile
        • Vympel K-13 (AA-2 “Atoll”) air-to-air missile
    • SOKO HN-42M Gama (Aérospatiale Gazelle) multirole helicopter, armed with:
      • Dual front-mounted 7.62mm machine guns, 200 rounds each
      • 2 hardpoints for some combination of:
        • 63mm Mastra rocket pod with 18 rockets, single shot or full salvo
        • Dual HOTS anti-tank, short-range laser guided missile

Utility vehicles, such as cargo trucks and planes, and jet fighters, such as the MiG-21, MiG-29, and F/A-18 Hornet are being considered.

  • Air-to-ground missile
  • 500kg bomb
